Direct Solar Sales Consultant

Job Description

  • Sell financed solar PV (photovoltaic) systems directly to homeowners over the phone through solar PV manufacturer partner programs.
  • Exceed set business targets.
  • Prequalify, present to, and close leads provided through manufacturer partner programs and individual origination efforts.
  • Originate leads through individual networking and referral efforts.
  • Utilize a combination of tools, including satellite imagery applications, online databases, Salesforce, and MS Office.
  • Become a solar PV industry subject matter specialist across multiple states, cities, and counties.
  • Research and specialize in new products and services being provided through competing companies.
  • Manage leads, opportunities, and reports through Salesforce account.
  • Collaborate with installer channel partners on joint sales efforts.
  • Coordinate with BrightGrid operations team to facilitate transaction flow.
  • Assist with marketing plan development.
  • Define strategies to increase sales effectiveness and close rates.

Desired Skills & Experiences:

  • 2-3 years sales experience selling to homeowners.
  • Lease sales experience preferred.
  • Possess excellent prequalification, presentation, and closing telephone skills.
  • Ability to modify communication style and approach according to different personality types.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Existing solar PV industry knowledge desirable.
  • Marketing experience desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate sense of urgency, focused on follow through and a high close rate.
  • Willingness to work odd hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable in Salesforce.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
