Direct Solar Sales Consultant

Job Description
- Sell financed solar PV (photovoltaic) systems directly to homeowners over the phone through solar PV manufacturer partner programs.
- Exceed set business targets.
- Prequalify, present to, and close leads provided through manufacturer partner programs and individual origination efforts.
- Originate leads through individual networking and referral efforts.
- Utilize a combination of tools, including satellite imagery applications, online databases, Salesforce, and MS Office.
- Become a solar PV industry subject matter specialist across multiple states, cities, and counties.
- Research and specialize in new products and services being provided through competing companies.
- Manage leads, opportunities, and reports through Salesforce account.
- Collaborate with installer channel partners on joint sales efforts.
- Coordinate with BrightGrid operations team to facilitate transaction flow.
- Assist with marketing plan development.
- Define strategies to increase sales effectiveness and close rates.
- 2-3 years sales experience selling to homeowners.
- Lease sales experience preferred.
- Possess excellent prequalification, presentation, and closing telephone skills.
- Ability to modify communication style and approach according to different personality types.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Existing solar PV industry knowledge desirable.
- Marketing experience desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate sense of urgency,
focused on follow through and a high close rate.
- Willingness to work odd hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to work in fast-paced environment.
- Knowledgeable in Salesforce.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
